These terms govern your use of the MacroDroid Macro Builder service (the "Service"): the connector, plugin and web endpoints hosted at remote.macrodroid.com that let an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude build macros for the MacroDroid Android app. The Service is provided by ArloSoft, the developer of MacroDroid ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. The MacroDroid app itself is covered by its own licence and by the MacroDroid Privacy Policy.
The Service supplies reference material to an AI assistant: a catalog of MacroDroid triggers, actions and constraints, the JSON structure of each, and a validator that checks a finished macro for structural errors. The AI assistant, not the Service, writes the macro. The Service does not run any AI model, does not install anything on your device, and cannot access your phone.
You are responsible for reviewing any macro before importing it and for what that macro does once it runs on your device. Macros can change device settings, send messages, make calls, use location and interact with other apps. Check that a generated macro does what you intend and complies with the law and with the terms of any other service it interacts with. Do not use the Service to build macros that are unlawful, that harass or harm others, or that circumvent security measures on any device or service.
AI-generated macros may be wrong, incomplete or behave unexpectedly. The validator checks structure only; it cannot confirm that a macro will do what you asked. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
The Service is free of charge and offered without any uptime commitment. We may change, rate-limit, suspend or discontinue it, or change these terms, at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Requests to the Service contain only the feature names, the text of the macro being validated, and standard connection details such as your IP address and the calling assistant's identifier. We do not store the content of requests or the macros you build, with one exception: when the assistant asks for a share link, the finished macro is stored on our server for up to 7 days so that the link can open it in MacroDroid, then deleted. Share links are unguessable but not access-controlled, so anyone who has the link can view that macro until it expires. Connection logs are kept for a short period for operational and security purposes only. Anything you type into the AI assistant is handled by that assistant's provider under its own terms and privacy policy, not by us. The catalog, schema and validation logic are ours. You may use them through the Service to build macros for your own use. Macros you create are yours. MacroDroid is a trademark of ArloSoft. Third-party names such as ChatGPT and Claude belong to their respective owners, who are not affiliated with the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the Service or from any macro built with it, including loss of data, missed messages or calls, device misconfiguration, charges incurred by a macro, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may block access to the Service for any use that breaches these terms or that places unreasonable load on it. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the connector or plugin from your AI assistant.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
